This section outlines how the studio operates on a daily basis, including staff expectations, communication standards, access rules, and general conduct while working in the space.

OFFICE ACCESS & PROTOCOLS

Only Dance Directions teachers and authorized staff are permitted in the office

Do not share office access codes with parents, students, or renters

Luminesque staff requiring access must contact Cierra for a temporary code

Office access is restricted at all times unless actively needed for studio operations

COMMUNICATION

Internal Communication

All schedule changes, updates, and important notices will be communicated through official staff channels

Staff are responsible for checking updates regularly before shifts

Do not rely on verbal-only updates for schedule changes

Urgent Issues

Immediate concerns (security, injuries, emergencies, facility issues) should be reported directly to management as soon as possible

Do not delay reporting critical issues

POLICIES & STAFF CONDUCT

Professional Expectations

Maintain a professional presence while on site at all times

Staff are expected to remain visible and present during teaching hours

Personal phone use should not interfere with supervision or class safety

During Classes

Teachers must remain responsible for their assigned class area at all times

Students should not be left unattended in studios or common areas

Ensure safe and appropriate behaviour is maintained in all spaces

Shared Spaces

Lobby, hallways, and common areas must remain professional and tidy

Staff are expected to model appropriate behaviour for students

PARKING & ARRIVAL

Staff Parking

Staff should park in designated areas only

Do not block entrances, exits, or neighbouring access points

Be mindful of student drop-off congestion during peak hours

Studio Entry/Exit

Arrive with enough time to prepare before class starts

Ensure studio doors are secured upon arrival and departure when required

DAILY FLOW EXPECTATIONS

Before Classes

Arrive early enough to complete opening duties

Ensure studio is clean, safe, and ready for students

Confirm systems (lights, sound, temperature) are functioning

During Classes

Maintain active supervision at all times

Ensure smooth transitions between classes

Keep studio areas organized and safe

After Classes

Support closing procedures as required

Reset studio spaces if used

Ensure equipment is returned properly

RENTERS & EXTERNAL USERS

Renters must follow all studio rules and procedures

Staff are responsible for ensuring renters understand basic studio expectations

Any issues with renters should be reported to management immediately

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

Do not share access codes or security details

Report issues immediately instead of attempting to “work around” them

Maintain professional conduct in all areas of the studio

Follow communication channels for updates—not assumptions
